Tanggal 18 Desember sebagai Hari Bahasa Arab Sedunia dicetuskan oleh UNESCO pada tahun 1973 tepat pada tanggal 18 Desember. Peringatan Hari Bahasa Arab Sedunia bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan sejarah, budaya, dan perkembangan bahasa dengan menyelenggarakan rangkaian kegiatan.
Bahasa Arab adalah bahasa resmi PBB. Bahasa Arab tersebar luas mendunia terjadi karena bahasa Arab merupakan bahasa yang digunakan di dalam kitab suci Al Quran dan bahasa keseharian Rasulullah SAW.
Tepat pada tanggal 18 Desember 2023 kami mahasiswa program studi bahasa Arab STIT Al-Hilal Sigli memperingati hari bahasa Arab sedunia atau disingkat dengan HABA dengan menyelenggarakan beberapa perlombaan tingkat SMA/ sederajat dan tingkat umum sebagai berikut:
- Pidato bahasa Arab
- Puisi tentang bahasa Arab
- Khat / kaligrafi
- Tilawah
- Nasyid
Dengan itu kami juga bertujuan agar bisa memperkenalkan kehebatan bahasa Arab kepada siswa/i maupun masyarakat, alhamdulillah atas izin Allah acara berjalan dengan lancar dengan rangkaian acara berikut:
Judul acara: Memperingati HABA yang ke- IV
Tanggal pelaksanaan: 18 Desember 2023
Tempat: STIT Al-Hilal Sigli.
Acara dibuka dan ditutup oleh ustadzah Cut Keumalawati, M. Pd. Perlombaan dengan jumlah peserta 80 peserta yang berasal dari Kabupaten Pidie, Pidie Jaya dan provinsi Aceh Utara. Sekian dan terimakasih.
