Bireuen–Koordinator Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam Swasta (Kopertais) Wilayah V Aceh, melaksanakan Workshop Verifikasi dan Validasi Data Pada PTKIS (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Swasta) dalam lingkungan Kopertais Wilayah V Aceh, yang dilaksanakan di Hotel Luxury Bireuen Aceh pada hari Sabtu – Minggu (2-3/11), dan turut hadir Operator EMIS STIT Al-Hilal Sigli , dan STIS Al-Hilal Sigli serta Operator PTKIS Se Aceh lainnya pada acara tersebut.
Acara tersebut, direncanakan dibuka langsung oleh Rektor UIN Ar-Raniry, yang juga menjabat sebagai Koordinator Kopertais Wilayah V Aceh, namun berhubung Bapak Rektor ada kegiatan di Makassar, pembukaan acara dibuka oleh Bapak Chalis, M.A selaku Wakil Koordinator Kopertais Wilayah V Aceh.
Bapak Chalis, M.A dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa pendataan EMIS sangat penting terutama dalam pengurusan terkait bantuan-bantuan dari Diktis, karena Data EMIS akan terintergrasi dengan aplikasi atau sistem pendaftaran bantuan, dan ada PTKIS yang tidak mendapatkan bantuan dikarenakan pendataan EMIS belum ada, ujarnya.
Selain itu Sekretaris Kopertais Wilayah V Aceh juga menambahkan bahwa data EMIS sangat terkait dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh DIKTIS, salah satunya terkait bantuan beasiswa bidikmisi, acuan penetapan Perguruan Tinggi Penyelenggara (PTP) Bidikmisi adalah berdasarkan data mahasiswa yang ada di data EMIS.
